This device suffered a severe drop that caused the touch to stop working on the iPhone XS Max. We confirmed it wasn't a basic issue that could be fixed by replacing the screen. After opening the device we found the drop had damaged the bottom board cracking a component and separating another chip from the board.
The customer was mainly interested in data recovery so we were able to swap the bottom board, flash the software and then connect it to a computer to create an iTunes backup. We were able to recover all data on this device with the iTunes backup.
